It’s been a long and circuitous journey to get here, but at long last, WE HAVE A BUILDING PERMIT! 🥂 Two, actually! We are breaking ground on the project this week, and couldn’t be more excited to be out of the planning and permitting phase of this project, and into the one where we actually get to BUILD IT. The project is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath adobe designed by us, with a pitched roof and some passive solar features. On the same property we will also be building a 20′ x 40′ exposed adobe barn. This project will be a little different from the last house we built. Aside from the pitched roofs, we’re looking forward trying out some new techniques and a slightly different construction sequence. We’re also thrilled to have hired Erik Navarro on to join our team.
