Two pairs of exterior and screen doors we built for a sweet little house in the South Valley undergoing renovations. The exterior doors are solid alder, with an @osmo_usa finish and lots of glazing to bring more natural light into the house. For the screen doors, we went with a traditional New Mexican zig-zag pattern, with a cherry red stain. The screen doors operate with a hydraulic closer. There’s a wonderful book — New Mexico Style: A Sourcebook of Traditional Architectural Details by Nancy Warren, published by @mnmpress — that we open up every time we have a new door project. The inspiration for the zig-zag motif came from here.
